“Standards for the Benefit of Science and Society” session at AGU Fall Meeting 2019

We encourage marine researchers to submit an abstract to the AGU Fall Meeting 2019 Session IN043 “Standards for the Benefit of Science and Society”.

The session will highlighting the practical aspects, including sociological factors, involved in development and adoption of standards and best practices that are needed to ensure the FAIRness of data, an important step which will help to close the digital divide between less economically developed countries and advanced societies.

The participants will be contributing to build an effective dialogue within the community.

The upcoming edition of the AGU (American Geophysical Union) Fall Meeting will take place in San Francisco from 9th to 13th December. Fall Meeting is the largest international Earth and space science meeting in the world, and this year will also celebrate the centennial of the Union.
