SUMMARY:EGU General Assembly 2019
DESCRIPTION:The General Assembly 2019 of the European Geosciences Union (EGU) will be held at the Austria Center Vienna (ACV) in Vienna\, Austria\, from 7–12 April 2019. \nThe meeting will gather scientists from all over the globe to present and discuss topics related to all disciplines of the Earth\, planetary\, and space sciences. There will be talks\, poster sessions and PICOs (a special kind of interactive oral presentation). \nEMSO will be present and held an open session titled (OS4.8) “Using and acquiring monitoring data to enhance the knowledge of key oceanic processes and their interactions”\, for which Mathilde Cannat – chair of the EMSO Science Service Group – and EMSO Director General Juan José Dañobeitia will be convener and co-convener\, respectively. \nAmongst the many different session\, the following two maybe of particular interest for what concerns EMSO: \n(OS1.10/CL2.06/NP2.5) “The role of the abyssal ocean in climate varsiability and change” (abstract here)\n(GMPV4.2) “Magma generation and differentiation: Field\, geochemical\, experimental and numerical investigation of magmatic and volcanic systems” (abstract here)\nThe European Geosciences Union is a non-profit international union of scientists with about 15\,000 members from all over the world\, dedicated to the pursuit of excellence in the Earth\, planetary\, and space sciences. \nAll the information regarding the metting can be found at the EGU2019 website. \nThe deadline for abstract submission is 10th January 2019\, 13.00 CET.
