SUMMARY:Best Practices Workshop On Sea Operations – EMSO
DESCRIPTION:The EMSO ERIC Workshopon Sea Operations will take place in Toulon\, France\, on 25-26 September. The event is aimed at bringing together major players in the field of marine equipment systems for long-term in situ observation. It will focus on means and methods for servicing fixed-point observing systems during their deployment\, maintenance and recovery operations. The workshop will be the perfect place to present the latest innovations\, discuss methodologies\, exchange best practices and think at European scale about an optimization of marine operations. \nThe following sessions are planned: \n• Best practices for intervention on observatories using underwater robots\n• Hands-on session on operational systems\n• Best practices for intervention without robots on underwater observatories\n• Perspectives\n• Discussions and outcomes \nThe deadline for abstract submission for oral presentation or poster is 15th June;\nRegistrations close on 31st July. \nAll info can be found at the workshop webpage.
