Integrated EMSO Data Access

Please note that EMSO data harmonization and integration are undergoing, and the tools below provide early access to EMSO ERIC data. These data tools are work in progress efforts under evolution. Comments and suggestions are very welcome (help@emso-eu.org).

Data Access Portal

The data portal provides access to EMSO ERIC data, including a description of the different observatories, pointers to existing data and meta-data sources, and data summary visualizations. Data are integrated following OceanSites specifications. It also provides an overview of EMSO ERIC observatories with pointers to data sources.

File Explorer

The File Explorer provides direct access to data sets in binary and text formats. Please note that metadata is also provided in files within the file hierarchy.

DataLab

Access the DataLab. It is built on top of the API for visually accessing, exploring, and visualizing integrated EMSO ERIC data from the different EMSO ERIC observatories, including multi-node data plotting.

Virtual Research Environment

Access the EMSO ERIC Virtual Research Environment based on Jupyter. It provides an online web-based environment for using notebooks with different programming languages such as Python, Matlab, and R (more about Jupyter). If you are interested in using the EMSO ERIC VRE, please send your request to help@emso-eu.org.

Application Programming Interface (API)

Access the EMSO ERIC API. It provides programmatic access to EMSO ERIC data (i.e., it can be used by users or third-party repositories via machine-to-machine interfaces). It is a RESTful web service tool built using the powerful open-source framework Swagger that helps to design, build, document, and consume RESTful APIs (basic guidelines).
