A new paper on monitoring technologies of deep-sea ecosystems has been recently published online on the journal Environmental Science & Technology. The article is the result of a collaboration among authors from many different institutions, among which EMSO ERIC and some of its partners.

The paper, titled “New high-tech flexible networks for the monitoring of deep-sea ecosystems” aims at giving a critical review of the state of the art of the different fixed and mobile platforms of benthic and pelagic monitoring networks, and at the same time at proposing an innovative roadmap for the automated computing of hierarchical ecological information on deep-sea ecosystems.
