The annual maintenance operations – the MoMARSAT cruise – at the EMSO-Azores observatory have been completed just a few days ago.
The mission started on 10th June, when a team involving personnel from Ifremer, CNRS-INSU laboratories and IMAR DOP set sail on board of the Pourquoi pas? research vessel to the Mid-Atlantic Ridge, where the observatory is located, to recover, recondition and deploy again the deep-sea stations SEAMON West and SEAMON East, and the surface buoy BOREL.
