The EOOS Conference will take place in Brussels, from 21st to 23rd November.
The event main purpose is about connecting the broadest possible range of ocean observing stakeholder communities, providing them with a great networking opportunity, while participating in the European Ocean and Observing System (EOOS) strategy and implementation plan for the next future.
Building on the outputs of the EOOS Forum, held in March, representatives of the scientific community, public authorities, industry including fisheries, energy, transport and civil society will be attending the conference, getting updated and discussing mainly – but not only – about:
– The range of observing/monitoring efforts in Europe;
– the requirements, gaps and cost-benefits of ocean observing;
– the alignment of data acquisition activities with data processing, management and sharing efforts;
– the development of a coordinating ‘cycle’ for evolving EOOS.
