The EMSO Conference: preparing for UN Decade of Ocean Science took place in Athens from 12th to 14th February. It was designed to contribute to the improvement of the conditions for sustainable development and fulfillment of societal needs, increasing the awareness of the importance of the Ocean’s health, and to enhance the coordination of international cooperation worldwide in preparation to the UN 2021-2030 Decade of Ocean Science.
Following the conclusion of the conference, the participant Research Infrastructures Consortia – EMSO, EMBRC, EuroArgo, ICOS-Marine, LifeWatch and EPOS – released a final joint statement:
