A new seafloor cable from the EMSO Regional Facility Obsea to shore has been installed, also thanks to the collaboration of Unidad de Tecnologia Marina (UTM-CSIC), research vessel Garcia del Cid and its crew.
With such an upgrade, the cabled seafloor observatory Obsea, which is located 4 km off the Vilanova i la Geltru coast (Balearic Sea, South of Spain coast), expands its capabilities to new research topics and ensures the execution of current research projects.
