Blue-Cloud 2026 and EDITO-Infra have launched the Blue-Cloud Hackathon 2025, an online event (29 Sep – 2 Oct 2025) that brings together marine researchers, data experts, developers, students, and digital enthusiasts to explore the potential of the Blue-Cloud and EDITO platforms. It’s your chance to design and test data-driven workflows using the platform’s Virtual Labs, Workbenches, and analytical tools to extract insights from diverse marine datasets.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with Blue-Cloud’s services to build innovative applications, test the platform’s capabilities, and help shape its future. By exploring real user needs and identifying areas for improvement, you’ll contribute directly to enhancing the Blue-Cloud ecosystem while advancing open, collaborative marine science.

Participants will be invited to form teams and respond to one of four proposed challengesfocused on the use of marine data and computing services for more sustainable future. The event offers an opportunity to prototype new ideas and demonstrate the capabilities of key European infrastructures for ocean data and knowledge.

Participation is free and fully virtual.
