The EU project GEORGE is featured in Horizon Magazine, publication by European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation, that showcases the latest EU-funded research for both scientific and general audiences.
GEORGE brings together 28 leading partners from academia and industry alike, including three research infrastructures: EMSO ERIC, Euro-Argo ERIC and ICOS ERIC. Together these three ERICs cover the whole expanse of European marine waters.
The article highlights how GEORGE technologies can help fill critical gaps in ocean observations and address challenges such as ocean acidification and the lack of autonomous deep-sea measurements.
