
A Practical introduction to acquisition, validation, quality control and access to (biodiversity) data

The Netherlands Institute for Sea Research (Instituut voor Onderzoek der Zee, NIOZ)organized the workshop “A Practical introduction to acquisition, validation, quality control and access to (biodiversity) data” in Vlissingen, the Netherlands, from 14th to 15th June 2016.. The workshop was in the framework of the FixO3 project. It was aimed at early career scientists and PhD students. 19 applicants attended with early career scientists from a range of related scientific disciplines.

The course included training in methods and techniques for processing biodiversity data, integrating physico-chemical and biodiversity data, and delivering data products that may be required to meet policy needs such as Good Environmental Status (GES) descriptors.
