EMSO ERIC welcomes project proposals for its 4th Call for Physical Access! This is a great chance for scientists, research engineers and all those are interested in conducting innovative research, testing new technologies, and deploy novel devices in the open ocean or shallow water sites. The object of the Call is to offer free access to the EMSO cutting-edge ocean observatories, leveraging its advanced sensor technologies, customized data collection and expert support. The first deadline to submit project proposals is February 28th, although the Call will be open until the end of the year with intermediate evaluation of project proposals performed every two months.
Six open ocean observatories and shallow test sites are available for 2025, spreading from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediterranean Sea. Regional Facilities’ team offer valuable training and co-development to users interested in learning specialized techniques or developing new products, taking advantage of years of experience gathered at EMSO Facilities’ labs.
The financial aid is up to €15.000 per project. Funding consists of Facility Access Units (days of usage) and economic support for operations, travel, shipping, and consumables.
